Forest Green Landscape & Design is celebrating it’s 25th anniversary this year!  We want to make this year special for us and our customers so we’ve put together an exciting event to share with everyone.  We’ve been busy redesigning our outdoor living at our office so that our customers can get a hands on feel of the type of work we offer, in addition to that we’ve went above and beyond and added an ultra custom water feature to the space as well.  We’re inviting current customer and anyone interested to stop by during our 25ht anniversary pond build to see how the pros do it.  Come watch as we set the final boulders in place and fire up the multiple waterfalls for what is sure to be an impressive display.  We will also be offering tons of activities, food and specials.

Spring is upon us and the best way to add instant beauty to your home and keep your plants healthy all season long is to freshen up your plant beds with new mulch.  Mulch helps retain water to keep roots moist throughout the heat of late spring and summer so you’ll water less frequently and your plants will stay perky.  Be sure not to mulch too thick around shrubs or tree trunks which can starve them of oxygen. 

 Do you normally use shredded hardwood mulch?  Why not try dyed brown mulch for a change.  The dyed color helps mulch hold it’s color all season long so it will look freshly applied.  Dyed mulch can also come in a variety of other colors but remember that neutral colors will keep your landscape beds looking natural.  The goal is to use your landscape to highlight your homes architecture and beauty and less is always more.

As winter approaches it is getting darker earlier and earlier each evening.  One way to combat coming home to a dark house is by adding low voltage landscape lighting to your outdoors.  Path lights will illuminate your walkway for you or visitors and stealth up-lights can highlight the architecture of your home or create a soft glow on trees and shrubs.  Low voltage landscape lighting will increase the value of your home and it will also deter thieves from lurking around the outside of your home.
